Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 October 2026

This policy explains how ET Trading (Emile Tenn, Lebanon, “we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you visit ettradingvip.com or use the ET Trading membership. We are the controller of this data. We follow Lebanese Law No. 81 of 2018 on Electronic Transactions and Personal Data and, where it applies to you, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

In short: we collect what we need to run your membership, we never sell your data, we use no advertising or tracking cookies, and you can ask us to see, correct or delete your data at any time.

1. What we collect

  • Account details: your name, e-mail address, phone/WhatsApp number and password. Passwords are stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider; we can never see them.
  • Sign-up details: the plan you ask for, how you paid, your optional message and any referral code you enter, and the date you accepted these policies.
  • Membership and payments: your plan, price, join date, renewal dates, payments recorded (amount, date and method such as cash, Whish or USDT) and renewal status. We do not collect or store card or bank account numbers.
  • What you create: trade journal entries (including optional screenshots), community posts, comments and likes, challenge submissions and reward redemptions.
  • ET Identity: your member number, ET Points, level, badges, referrals and, only if you turn it on, your public profile settings.
  • Learning progress: which Academy lessons you have completed.
  • Notifications: if you turn on phone notifications, a technical address for your device provided by your browser (Apple, Google or Mozilla push service). You can turn it off at any time.
  • Security: sign-in records and, for the admin account, two-step verification data.
  • Visit statistics: pages viewed, the website that sent you, device type, browser and the country derived from your IP address. These are collected without cookies and stored without your IP address or any identifier that could follow you across days or websites. If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” signal, we don’t count your visit at all.

2. Why we use it, and on what basis

  • To provide your membership (approve you, give access, record payments, send renewal reminders and the monthly report): necessary for our contract with you.
  • To run the community features (journal, community, points, rewards, referrals, challenges): necessary for our contract with you.
  • To send service e-mails and notifications (new trades, announcements, reminders): contract, and your consent for phone notifications.
  • To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse (sign-in protection, bot checks, moderation): our legitimate interest.
  • To understand how the website is used (anonymous visit statistics): our legitimate interest.
  • To keep accounting records and meet legal obligations: legal obligation.
  • To show your public member profile: your consent, which you can withdraw by turning it off.

3. Who can see it

  • ET Trading’s admin (Emile Tenn) can see member data to run the Service.
  • Other members see your name, member number, level and badges next to your community posts and comments, and in the monthly “top members” list (first name and member number only).
  • The public sees nothing about you unless you turn on your public member profile, and then only what your privacy settings allow.
  • Service providers that process data for us under contract and only on our instructions:
    • Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage (servers in Frankfurt, Germany).
    • Vercel: website hosting (servers in Frankfurt, Germany, with a global network).
    • Resend: sending e-mails.
    • Apple, Google and Mozilla push services: delivering phone notifications you turned on.
    • Cloudflare Turnstile: protecting sign-in and sign-up forms from bots, when enabled.
    • Google Fonts and TradingView: fonts and market chart widgets loaded by your browser, which receive your IP address when they load.
  • We may disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
  • We never sell your personal data and we do not share it for advertising.

4. International transfers

Our main servers are in the European Union. Some providers are based in, or may access data from, other countries such as the United States. Where this happens they are bound by contractual safeguards for personal data.

5. Cookies

We only use cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in securely. We do not use advertising, profiling or third-party tracking cookies, and our visit statistics work without cookies, so no cookie banner is needed. Your browser may separately store a small preference on your device (for example that you dismissed a prompt).

6. How long we keep it

  • Account, membership and community data: while your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account we delete or anonymise it, except what we must keep.
  • Payment records: as long as needed for accounting and legal obligations.
  • Visit statistics: up to 13 months, then deleted automatically.
  • Notification device addresses: until you turn notifications off, or until the device stops accepting them.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct it; delete it; restrict or object to how we use it; receive a copy in a common format; and withdraw consent (for example for phone notifications or your public profile) at any time. You can change your name, phone, notifications and public profile yourself in the app. For anything else, contact us using the details below. We will answer within 30 days. You may also complain to the competent data protection authority.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to each member’s data is restricted at database level, passwords are hashed, files are kept in private storage, and the admin account is protected by two-step verification. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

9. Age

The Service is only for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you believe a minor has signed up, contact us and we will remove the account.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we will tell members about important changes.
